The East Texas Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (ETCADA) from Longview and the Greater Longview United Way will present a free naloxone training on Thursday, February 19, 2026, in Beaumont and Orange.


The training is for caregivers, parents, community members, and anyone interested in learning more.  Naloxone, also known by brand names like Narcan and Rivive, is a life-saving medication used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose rapidly.  The class is open to the public and will be at 9:00 am Feb 19 at Recovery Council of Southeast Texas, 4675 Washington blvd, STE C, Beaumont, TX 77706. 

There will be a second class, also open to the public,  in Orange on Feb 19 at 2pm at Recovery Council of Southeast Texas Outpatient Orange at 3319 Bowling Lane in Orange, TX. 

No preregistration is required.
